About the Program
The Jones Foundation helps eligible students of any age with a portion of the cost for undergraduate education at an accredited institution of their choice. Grants are need-based and may help cover tuition, fees, and books at public, private, community, or technical institutions, both in and out of state. The student must meet the residency requirements outlined in the Eligibility section below to apply.
Program Rules
- Students must be seeking an undergraduate degree and enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester at a single accredited institution.
- Grants are paid directly to the educational institution in fall and spring to help offset the cost of tuition, fees, and books for a maximum of eight semesters.
- All students must complete a new application each year as grants are awarded per academic year. Some exceptions may apply.
- Study abroad programs and institutions offering exclusively online curricula are not eligible.
- Multiple members of the same family may apply, but a separate application and information specific to each student must be provided.
- Students who were previously denied may reapply in a future academic year.
- The Board of Trustees makes the final determination of eligibility and the amount of assistance awarded, if any.
- Applications must be complete, with ALL required information provided, before they can be considered. Applicants will receive written notification after the Board of Trustees reviews their application.
- If a student changes institutions after receiving an award, they must contact the Foundation and provide the information needed for Board reconsideration.
